I'm a contract photographer for AirBNB.com. You can click that link and the web site will open in a new window. Browse around, get a good idea of what AirBNB.com actually is, then come back and read a little more.
I have a lot of experience in shooting real estate, whether it's for sales, long term rentals, or holiday and vacation properties. I've also done many shoots for hotels and resorts. I know all the “tricks” for getting the best possible photos of your space, and for creating images that sell your property. One thing to remember: emotions make the sale, not just facts and figures. Nothing evokes positive emotions better that quality photos of the condo, apartment or home you are marketing. In fact, you can host a single extra bedroom and supplement your income.
The most important things for real estate brokers to know is that professional photography dramatically increases customer engagement on your listings, decreases days on market, and increases the value of offers. This is proven. Check out this in-depth study for yourself: 1. Redfin Research Study. 2. Forbes: Photos Matter. Here are some statistics for the number crunchers: 3. Real Estate Photography Statistics.
A quick note – you can get free professional photography for your holiday or vacation rental. AirBNB.com has a fantastic program where they hire me to shoot your space. All you need to do is list your property on the site, and request the photography service. That's it! There are no fees involved. You would only pay a ridiculously low 3% booking fee when your space is booked. It's the best way to improve your occupancy rate at nearly no out of pocket cost to you. Check out all the features that AirBNB.com has for hosts like you, especially the Verified Guest system, and the $1 Million damage and theft guarantee.
If you have other types of property that don't fit AirBNB.com's guidelines, please get in touch.
Location Portraits and Lifestyle Photography
Every person is different, and every photograph must show your personality. I work with my clients to bring out the person. I don't deliver “cookie-cutter” photos like many photographers.
Instead, we work as a team. You know what you want, and I know how to create a photo that captures the essence of your vision. I also know what you don't want to do. Many people have a strong idea for their photos, but don't know to actually make it happen, and end up making mistakes. I know the mistakes, and how to avoid them. Let's work together to realize your dream.
This applies to families and couples as well. My process always begins with questions and answers. I like to have an informal conversation with clients to find out who they are and what they want to portray. It's very important for photo subjects to be comfortable with the photographer. It can be intimidating to have a big fat lens in your face, with someone telling you what to do. Look left – no, not that far! Turn your face up, now left, now lift your chin. Have you ever experienced this style of direction? I believe it needs to be fun and exiting! Instead of barking orders, I come around from behind the camera and show you what I'm looking for. Sometimes it's pretty funny. I remember showing a young lady how to pose for a shot on the beach, and her family (who were watching at the time) broke out in gales of laughter. That made the client smile and relax, and her photos are beautiful.
All we need to get started is time, a location, and your vision.
Events are important. They create milestones in people's lives, and work as triggers that bring back memories. Engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, graduation ceremonies, maternity, senior photos; all of these are important moments in your lives, and should be captured. What about that period right before a family is separated for the very first time? Maybe a child is going off to college, or reporting for military service, or starting a new job in a location far away. These events bring big changes to the family dynamic, and you'll definitely want to have the memories of the “before”.
When you market products, you need to capture your customer's attention within seconds. The only way to do that is by using high-resolution, professionally photographed product images. When customers browse web sites, no matter what they are looking for, they do “judge a book by it's cover”. The best images get the most clicks – then it's up to your product's strengths to close the sale. If you don't get the eyeballs, you don't sell – it's that simple. It doesn't matter if you sell industrial products, hand-crafted jewelry or tractors, the first impression your customers get is from the first photographs they see. Engage your customers and close more sales. Call me today.
